Żadna kura nie znosi złotych jaj, zwłaszcza takich, które starczyłyby na niebotyczny czynsz w chińskiej stolicy. Dai Haifei, 24-letni absolwent wydziału projektowania, nie mogąc pozwolić sobie na standardowe lokum, skonstruował mobliny dom - jajo, który stanął przy jednej z pekińskich ulic. I wcale nie robi sobie jaj!

Dai Haifei pochodzi z prowincji Hanan, położonej w centralnej części Chin. Jednak mieszka i pracuje w prężnie rozwijającej się stolicy, w której z roku na rok ceny wynajmu mieszkań stają się coraz wyższe. Najbardziej ekonomicznym rozwiązaniem okazało się więc wybudowanie własnego lokum. Zbudowanie dwumetrowego domu - jaja kosztowało 6427 tys. juanów (965 $).

Z domem pomysłowego Chińczyka wcale nie trzeba obchodzić się jak z przysłowiowym jajkiem. Wykonany z bambusowych listew i metalowych elementów konstrukcyjnych jest odporny na uszkodzenia. Dodatkowo konstruktor zadbał, by zbytnio się nie nagrzewał, a całość pokrył materiałem wodoszczelnym.

U dołu konstrukcji Dai Haifei zamontował małe kółka, dzięki czemu jego konstrukcja jest mobilna. Niestety prawdopodobnie już niedługo będzie musiał wypróbować tę opcję - po prawie dwóch miesiącach mieszkania w "jajku" został zmuszony przez władze Pekinu do usunięcia konstrukcji.
